The Bill Berg Transportation to Medical Appointments Program

About the Program

The Bill Berg Transportation Program at JFSCNJ is designed for low income seniors, 60+ who live in Union County, are active JFSCNJ client, and require a personally escorted door-to-door service. The program boasts a fleet of three easily accessible cars in addition to a wheelchair accessible minivan.
The program is designed for:

• Those who need to travel to and from Medical and Necessary Appointments.
• Those who are unable to drive.
• Those who have difficulty using public transportation.

Staff are trained to assist clients in and out of the vehicles and escort them to and from appointments. Co-pays may apply and a private pay program is available. Due to Covid-19, protective gear is worn by all personnel and the vehicles are regularly cleaned.
