JFS is a NJ licensed Outpatient Mental Health Center. Our licensed clinical staff specializes in facilitating the successful resolution of individual, couples, children and family problems.

These challenges may include depression and anxiety, marital and partnership conflict, extended family issues, parent and child problems, including school-related issues.

We provide weekly job seeker support groups, individual appointments for career counseling, resume review and preparation for interviews.
JFS is the only Kosher Food Pantry in Union County. We provide a monthly non-perishable food package to eligible individuals and families.
On the grounds of JFS, our 850 square foot Urban Community Garden grows and distributes seasonal produce to our Food Pantry, Kosher Meals on Wheels and Homecare clients.
The Grandparent as Parent Program is offered to Union County residents over the age of fifty-five who have legal and residential custody of their grandchildren.
Information and referral, mental health assessments, counseling and care management services are provided.
These two groups which meet monthly at the JCC in Scotch Plains provide support and guidance.
Through group conversation caregivers or siblings are given the opportunity to network with others, learn ways to advocate for their child and express feelings in a safe environment.
